I didn't mean to be rude, I'm sorry. Yes, you're at perfect liberty to state your opinion. I think a lot of the traditional stuff is still there: it's all in the steps. Besides, there are a lot of dance schools that just do the traditional side of things - the competitions etc. Please let's not argue ... let's just agree to differ :)

My gram was fullblooded Irish so i prety much grew up with a lot of dance in the house and a lot of song not too much drink but there weretimes when drink was called for. Loved seeing th dance my gram tought me and i in return tought i to my 7 year oul little girl trdishion lives on.

Also, basically MOST of my point was that I don't want it to just CHANGE. I don't want the traditional ways to die down just to bring in the new. I leave room in myself for the new, but I also never let go of the old. We need to learn to add the new TO the old, and I don't mean by changing it with new modern twists, like this has a lot of. I mean, we need to KEEP the traditional, as WELL as the modern. I'm not saying we're not, but like I said, I was stating my opinion. Can't I do that freely?
